Daniel Wellingtons South Africa is looking for a Store Manager who will bring innovation, creativity and sales to our store in Pretoria. It is important to us that you have the energy and desire to be a part of our successful team. This person is someone who is capable of driving success even with a wide range of diverse responsibilities. As a Store Manager, you will be responsible for achieving and exceeding sales targets, along with driving the sales efforts and customer relationships in the store through excelling in customer service and selling techniques, while also supporting merchandising and daily maintenance. 

  • Manage sales performance on a daily, weekly and monthly basis to meet annual targets
  • Work closely with Retail Operations Manager to implement sales improvements
  • Ensure DW sales techniques and product knowledge is adhered to by all Sales Staff
  • Register work hours and report to ROM in time for monthly payroll 
  • Coach and develop the team to ensure they have the knowledge and skills required to work productively, deliver excellent service and promote the brand
  • Manage individual and team performance in an objective and consistent manner to encourage staff loyalty and commitment
  • Manage all customer complaints in store so issues are resolved appropriately  
  • Train Staff to effectively deal with customer complaints  
  • Process all customer orders/ returns; frequently update customers on order status
  • Ensure that legal safety procedures and regulations are adhered to at all times 
  • Train staff members in the opening and closing procedures i.e. the store is locked and alarmed correctly and the right safety precautions is taken
  • Manage company Safety procedures and practice safe working methods at all times
  • Ensure all cabinets and safe box are kept locked at all times
  • Manage cash and card purchases and reconcile daily sales and cash
  • Ensure banking process is completed accurately on daily basis
  • Ensure high standards of daily cleaning 
  • Ensure furniture and store equipment is well-maintained; report repairs promptly
  • Order stationary, cleaning supplies, toiletries etc. 
  • Ensure all stock is kept organised and well merchandised at all times
  • Conduct cycle counts on a weekly basis and full stock counts bi-annually.
  • Minimise shrinkage through effectively managing stock deliveries and storage


You are amazing at managing your priorities while working in a high paced environment with new challenges every day. You have strong self-leadership, organizational and interpersonal skills, as well as tactical thinking and a creative mind.

  • 1-3 years experience working as a store manager
  • Strong communication and influencing skills
  • Comfortable scheduling, opening, and closing retail stores
  • Proven ability to drive business initiatives
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience in building strong teams
  • Great analytical skills
